A Book + A Game A Day
Starting back to homeschool after a long break can be difficult. Each year to kick off the new year and help ease us back into things we do what we call a book and a game a day.
This just means that if we read a book and play a game then it was a super sucessful day.
Reading a book and playing a game is a great way to explore new concepts, review skills learned, and connect with each other, all at the same time. We have found it to be the ultimate hygge homeschool experience every January.
After two sucessful years of doing this in our own homeschool I started to expand the idea to try to increase the fun and help other homeschoolers ease back into the swing of things as well. That is when the Book + Game a Day Challenge was born.
Join us in starting your homeschool small, slow, and meaningful in the new year.
Here are the details:
Beginning on January 1st read a book and play a game with your child/children everyday. This can be ANY book and ANY game you choose.
Post pictures as often as you can using the hashtag #abookandagameaday
Follow the hashtag to get inspiration and encouragement from others.
Follow me on Instagram and Facebook, I will feature several tagged pictures in my stories each week and each Wednesday I will be hosting a giveaway for a book + a game bundle as a thank you for joining me in the challenge.
