Welcome to The Waldock Way
Our goal is to bring you tips, tricks, inspiration, and unique resources that help ignite a love of learning in your children. We want to encourage you to follow your child’s lead, lean into their interests, and learn alongside them in a way that feels natural, connected, and actually enjoyable for your whole family.
From Space to Hogwarts, Wilderness Survival to Traveling the World, we have something educational and fun for every learner. No matter what your child is currently excited about, there is always a way to turn that interest into meaningful learning.
Unit studies from The Waldock Way are designed to support you as you navigate interest-led homeschooling with confidence. Each study is thoughtfully put together to make learning simple and engaging, without overwhelming you as the parent. You’ll find carefully curated book lists, videos that bring topics to life, hands-on activities, games for learning, and links to additional resources, all working together to support a wide range of learning styles and ages.
A little bit about our family…
We live in the middle of nowhere, tucked away in the woods of sunny Florida. Life here is quiet, simple, and centered around time together. Some of our favorite ways to spend that time are watching movies, playing games, shooting archery as a family, and enjoying the slower pace of life at home.
When we do venture out, you’ll usually find us exploring state and national parks, walking wooded trails, heading to archery shoots, visiting Walt Disney World, or soaking up the sun at the beach.
Meet Jessica
Jessica is a writer, photographer, and homeschool advocate. She founded The Waldock Way as a way to give back to the homeschool community she fell in love with. What started as a simple way to share ideas has grown into a space where she creates curriculum, shares real-life homeschool experiences, and encourages families to embrace learning in a way that actually works for them. She is passionate about interest-led learning, connection, and making homeschool feel both doable and enjoyable.
Meet Kevin
Kevin is an Air Force veteran, truck driver, and artist. After stepping into the homeschool world, he quickly saw the impact it had on their family and became a strong advocate as well. He brings creativity to The Waldock Way through his artwork and design, helping bring many of the resources to life. He also plays a big role behind the scenes, supporting both the homeschool and the business.
Meet Emily
Emily is a creative and curious teen who loves to imagine and create. She spends her time playing guitar, diving into Dungeons & Dragons adventures, and writing whenever inspiration strikes. She has a deep love for storytelling and dreams of becoming a writer one day. Her interests have always shaped the way their homeschool looks, and she continues to be a big part of what makes the learning experience so unique.
We’re so glad you’re here. Take a look around, explore the resources, and find what works best for your family. We can’t wait to help you create a homeschool that actually works for you.
