Yet so much of chemistry happens on a scale we can’t actually see.

Watch & Learn: Chemistry helps middle and high school students make sense of that invisible world. Using the Crash Course Chemistry video series as a guide, students explore how atoms, elements, molecules, energy, and chemical reactions work together to create the world around us.

Videos bring challenging concepts to life, while clear nonfiction readings and focused activities give your child time to slow down, revisit important ideas, and make sure they truly understand what they’ve watched.

Making Chemistry Accessible

Chemistry can come with an intimidating amount of new vocabulary, formulas, calculations, and abstract ideas. Instead of asking learners to tackle all of that through a textbook alone, this study gives them multiple ways to encounter and work with each concept.

Students can use the reading passage as an introduction before watching, keep it nearby as a reference during the video, or return to it afterward when something needs another look. Then, comprehension and vocabulary activities help turn all those new terms and ideas into knowledge they can actually use.

Each lesson pairs a Crash Course video with a one-page nonfiction reading and activities that help students practice recalling, explaining, and applying what they’ve learned.
