Halloween Themed Morning Basket

Last months morning basket was a huge success so we our going to continue with the same “plan” for October and just change the theme to incorporate some Halloween resources.

We will begin our morning time while Emily is eating breakfast. Everyday we start with our morning menu, calendar time will be done everyday and we will loop through poetry, art, and music. We will then do bible or devotion.

Next, I will read from a fairy tale, folktale, myth, or legend because I wanted to incorporate more of these into our homeschool. I will also read aloud one to two chapters form a current read aloud.

Then, Emily will choose one picture book everyday for us to read so I can be sure we are reading a great picture book daily. Mad Libs were the one thing she asked for us to incorporate more of, so we will be doing those everyday.

We will be continuing with a journal everyday as well. The last things we will do is play a game and do either a mindfulness activity or some kind of movement. As always I will have a few hands-on thing available for her while I am reading aloud.
