This is a wonderful product. I can’t wait to start this upcoming homeschool year with this curriculum. I think my kids might be excited as well. I highly recommend this curriculum.

This has been fantastic! My daughter is Potter obsessed and being able to homeschool in the theme of Potter has made my life so easy! I recommend this to everyone! The endless links and information are so much more than I expected and those links themselves are worth the price of this!

I looked at this curriculum for a while but was convinced it would be too much for my dyslexic and dysgraphic 9 year old. But this summer she started playing HP and turned our house into Hogwarts on her own so I showed her the video and she begged me to buy it. After a quick run to the printer we started this that night. The change in her has been huge! She’s writing in cursive after we’ve been struggling with it for a year. We are using spells to do spelling words she’s sounding out on her own! I’ve has to make a few tweaks but nothing too exhausting and I have a newborn! This has allowed her to be entertained easily during the first few weeks of our new child’s life and has allowed me to know we are continuing to get in homeschool hours and days even through my sleep deprivation. I’m a former public school teacher so I’m very picky about curriculum but this has just been perfect! It can be open and go some days or I can really adapt it to what we need! Don’t feel overwhelmed by all the links to purchase games and such. There are free things and your child is creative enough to fill in the gaps. My daughter made her own dueling game to go with this much like Rock Paper Scissors and we’ve found some fun free games online too. So thankful this exists!!

Imaginative, playful, and so much fun! We are HUGE Harry Potter fans here, and are so excited to add in bits and pieces of this curriculum to the curriculum I develop. The best part is that this curriculum reminds me to keep it fun. Highly recommend, whether it’s your full curriculum or you just sprinkle it in like we do. It’s wonderful!

  5. Courtney

So excited to start this coming year! Jessica did a great job putting this together! I changed a few things to suit our homeschool needs. (I changed spells to poetry) I can’t wait to try the other ones as well!

  6. Amy

i am so excited to atart our school year with Harry Potter. This curriculum was just what our household needed.

  7. Lisa S

My boys LOVE this curriculum. I love that I can modify it for my kinder and 2nd grader so we can work together but at their own level. I was struggling to piece together a full curriculum and this has been a perfect fit for my family.

  8. Lisa

We’ve loved this and have been able to easily adapt it to my 6 & 8 year olds levels.

  9. Tracey

This is a great idea and well put together, I just wish there weren’t so many links that no longer work or books that are hard to/find out of print. It needs to be updated to make it the great resource it could be.

  10. Kamali Family

We love Waldocks Wizards and Wands! This curriculum has added so much fun and magic to our homeschool! It is easy to customize for multiple ages & makes life easier for the parents. If you want a curriculum that will make your kids enthusiastic about school, this is it! I would definitely recommend it!

I’m a homeschooling mother of three children 10, 7 and 3 in the US and was previously a primary teacher in Scotland for 12 years. I believe passionately in child-led learning and so chose an unschooling approach for my own children.

I don’t tend to buy complete curriculums because I know my children might not like it, change their minds or find it too easy or difficult. We read lots of books and our latest passion just so happened to be Harry Potter.

As soon as I heard about Wizards and Wands, I had to find out more. I was worried I would kill their enthusiasm by linking it to ‘work’ so downloaded a sample and found out more about the curriculum first.

I needn’t have worried. The curriculum is so well researched and cross referenced with possibilities and inspiration that I defy any child or parent not to find something they will love! There are links to books, games, youtube videos, Pinterest boards and other learning materials. You can dive in as deep as you like or just dip your toe in whenever your child shows an interest.

So far we have fully embraced Hogwarts by changing our learning space and engaging in role play. My children particularly love potions and herbology so those are the areas we use most. We read the high quality books recommended and take our inspiration from there with the pupil’s notebook pages. We already use some other programmes for literacy but those were easy to slot in as ‘spells’ and ‘incantations’. You can use as much or as little of the suggestions as you or your child likes and still feel like you’re a genuine Hogwarts student.

I always recommend this curriculum to fellow homeschoolers and teacher friends, it’s well worth the investment to see how much joy my children get out of learning real Hogwarts subjects 🙂

  12. Erin

My daughter loves Waldock’s Wizards and Wands. I love the adaptability and oodles of resources that I would never have found on my own. If your child dreams of being a wizard or loves all things magical, then this curriculum is for them! I am seriously impressed with all of the magical goodness.

  13. Donnesa M 🙂

We are absolutely loving this curriculum this year! The layout is so easy to follow and we have truly enjoyed reading each book with the activities ❤️

  14. Kim S.

Absolutely WONDERFUL! We had so much fun with the various prompts, copywork, links, game ideas and general feel of really diving in to Hogwarts! We had read the books before, but this really made the experience so fun and rich.
