One of our favorite things about homeschooling is that we get to follow Emily’s curiosity wherever it leads. When she’s excited about a topic, learning becomes an adventure for the whole family.
Recently, Emily has become curious about Ancient Egypt. After all, mummies, pharaohs, and pyramids are an intriguing topic! Questions like “Who built the pyramids?” and “How were mummies made?” opened the door to history, geography, art, culture, science, and more.
With unit studies like this one, all the subjects are woven together naturally in a way that feels fun and engaging for even the most reluctant learners. It’s a great way to tie multiple concepts together and show kids that everything is connected.
