Animal Themed Morning Basket

Our morning baskets have been perfect the past few months so we our going to continue with the same “plan” for November and just change the theme to incorporate some animal resources. I know you were probably expecting me to say Thanksgiving, I was planning on doing that but, at the last minute Emily asked for a veterinarian unit and to learn more about animals. Following her lead is my number one goal so an animal based morning basket it is this month! If you would like more Thanksgiving morning basket ideas you can find our basket from last year here.

We will begin our morning time while Emily is eating breakfast. Everyday we start with our morning menu, calendar time will be done everyday and we will loop through poetry, art, and music. We will then do bible or devotion. Next, I will read from a fairy tale, folktale, myth, or legend because I wanted to incorporate more of these into our homeschool. I will also read aloud one to two chapters form a current read aloud. Then, Emily will choose one picture book everyday for us to read so I can be sure we are reading a great picture book daily. Mad Libs were the one thing she asked for us to incorporate more of, so we will be doing those everyday. We will be continuing with a journal everyday as well. The last things we will do is play a game and do either a mindfulness activity or some kind of movement. As always I will have a few hands-on thing available for her while I am reading aloud.
