The Ultimate Christmas Book List For All Ages

I’ve got the ultimate Christmas book list for all ages this year! I’m super excited to share all these beautiful picture books and engaging read alouds with you just in time for the holidays. Books make great gifts for everyone on your list this year, but they’re especially awesome for homeschooling through the holidays.

Reading books together each Christmas has become a family tradition we all love. Today, I’m excited to share some of our favorites with you. Plus, more resources for holiday homeschooling and tips on how to celebrate Christmas with books this December. You don’t want to miss this book list!

Celebrating Christmas With Books

Celebrating Christmas with books adds a certain coziness to the holiday season. Here at The Waldock Way, I like to set aside special holiday books for this time of year. These are titles we only read during the holiday season and Emily looks forward to them every December.

Snuggling up together with a great book on the couch helps us to slow down and enjoy time together during the otherwise busy Christmas season. We love reading beautiful books together all month long!

There are some creative ways you can make celebrating Christmas with books even more magical for your homeschoolers. One of our favorites is to wrap Christmas books like holiday gifts and place them under the tree. Then, Emily can choose a book for us to enjoy together each day like a magical book Advent calendar.

Another fun idea is to create a Christmas book tree for your family to enjoy this season. Stack your favorite holiday books to form a Christmas tree shape and top it with a bow. Then, slowly make your way down the stack, reading a new book each day with your homeschooler.

Did you know, in Iceland, most people give a Christmas book gift to their loved ones on Christmas Eve? You can adopt the tradition by giving your kids a Christmas book each year on Christmas Eve too. Then, snuggle up on the couch with some hot cocoa and cookies to read your favorite Christmas story together.
